WELCOME TO THE NGUYEN LAB

Studying P. aeruginosa microbiology & host-pathogen interactions

Principal Investigator | Dao Ngueyn, MD, MSc

Our Research

We are interested in the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa, lung infections in cystic fibrosis, mechanisms of antibiotic tolerance and novel antimicrobials. Our research is multi-disciplinary and collaborative, bridging microbiology, genomic, molecular and cellular biology approaches in mechanistic and translational studies of bacterial infections. We employ a broad range of bacterial and in vitro human cell culture systems, mouse infection models and translational studies with human samples.

Our projects are focused on two main themes: 1) Pseudomonas aeruginosa microbiology and 2) Host-pathogen interactions in lung infections.
